2013 Board Elections & Annual General Meeting
Hello Bay Area Curlers,
We're pleased to announce the details for SFBACC's 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM):
Thursday, March 28
6:30-8:00pm (curling to follow!)

Please join us for an update from the board, club elections, member awards, and an open forum with the board and fellow club members. And don't forget your curling gear - we'll have open ice and some fun activities planned for after the meeting! Read on for details.
SFBACC Board Elections are Open
We have four open positions on the SFBACC board this year:
• Vice President
• Secretary-Treasurer
• At Large (2 seats)
Online voting is now open, and will remain open until 15 minutes after the start of the AGM (6:45pm) on March 28. You may also vote in person at the meeting. Candidate statements are available for you to read before voting.
SFBACC uses the VoteFair system for elections. When you vote, each candidate should be given a numbered ranking, with 1 indicating your most preferred candidate. You may mark the same number for multiple candidates. Candidates without a selection will be ranked equally at the end of your rankings. You can read more about the VoteFair system here.
You must be a current SFBACC member to vote! Sign up for membership here or contact membership@bayareacurling.com if you have questions about your current membership status.
When voting online, you will have to enter your Voter ID. Current members will have received their Voter ID by email. If you did not receive your voter ID and are a current member, please contact the election committee at election@bayareacurling.com.
Award Nominations
In other parts of the country, curling clubs are losing members, struggling to keep up the momentum from the last Olympics. Our club, however, continues to be as strong as ever, adding new members every month, as well as additional draws and new programs like little rocks. Curling spirit is high in the Bay Area, and we have our volunteers to thank for that.
This year SFBACC will be honoring those volunteers whose contributions made our club such a success. Nominations are open now for our first annual Rock Star Volunteer Awards, to be presented at the AGM. What person or persons impressed you the most with their contributions? Send an email to awards@bayareacurling.com and tell us why that volunteer is a Rock Star.
Additionally, we are accepting nominations for other awards - of your choosing! Think "best dressed", "shot of the year", or anything else fun and creative that you can come up with. Nominations for all categories are due by March 22, 2013. All emails will be confidential.
