Thanks to everyone who made the 2013 Golden Gate Bonspiel fantastic! (We're talking to you, out-of-town teams and volunteers!) Some (but not all) of the photos from this weekend are up on the SFBACC Picasa site. Here are links to three albums. More photos may appear in them at later this week - and more albums are likely to pop up!

Wednesday March 13th is the 55th anniversary of the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club!
The SFBACC is holding its semiannual competitive curling BBQ/pot luck on Sunday, May 19(the weekend before the bonspiel) in Mountain View. The food and fun will start at 3, and then a group discussion of any and all issues related to competitive curling will start at 4 pm. This is a great chance for new curlers who are curious about the competitive curling process to meet folks and ask questions. It's also an important opportunity for experienced players to shape our future playdown and training plans.
We are thrilled to announce that the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club has been awarded a grant from the Darwin Curtis Fund for our outreach and development efforts. SFBACC's continued innovation and commitment to growing the sport was recognized as particularly aligned with the fund's intent to "support and encourage participation by the general public in the sport of curling." The fund is administered by the USCA on behalf of The Chicago Community Trust. Of the dozens that applied, only 6 clubs across the country received a portion of the $20,000 distributed in this inaugural year.
Congratulations to our Fall League Winners:
