Women's World Championship on Universal Sports
Mon, 03/28/2011 - 9:36pm
FYI, My TiVo caught a broadcast from the Women's World Championships on Universal Sports, so I'd expect there may be future broadcasts from either this tournament or the upcoming Mens games. A rare opportunity to catch curling on US television in a non-Olympic year. They often broadcast only the back half of games, but better than nothing!
If you've got a DVR, I strongly recommend a general keyword search for "Curling" - most of the time, that's how I find out that something's been broadcast...

The universal schedule (as best as i can decipher it) is listed on the Curling Broadcast Schedule page of the club site.
Mike is right that it's better than nothing....for sure.
I don't know how everyone's dvr's work...looking for keywords. but, be aware that they are showing it 4-5x's per day over 4 days (hopefully you don't get 20+ recordings)
...for the Men's Worlds, Universal is likely showing 2 US games and the Bronze and Gold games AFTER the tourney is over (like the Women's)...but, streaming those 2 US games on their site live.
However, if you can watch from a computer....all the Women's TSN covered matches are archived on their site and the Men's will be as well (usually about an hour after the finish of the game). It's far better quality than Universal's live/archived streaming. Again, go to the 'Broadcast Schedule' page. I think all the info should be current.
Hit 'subscribe' at the bot of the page to get updates as they become available.
Enjoy!!
