Friends! 8th graders at Martin Luther King Middle School in Berkeley will be going to Washington DC for a week of exploration and learning about the history of the United States. The trip is being made available to more than 200 students, regardless of financial means. At a cost of $2050 per person, this is not possible without the support of the community.

The San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club is donating a large portion of the ice fees during this event toward the DC trip fund to help make this a reality. This special Learn to Curl session will include basic instruction and a mini game.

Curling is accessible to people of all ages and abilities, so bring your families, siblings, friends and neighbors! Baked goods and pizza will be available for sale, as well as a raffle to win fun prizes. Please come join MLk 8th grader and curling enthusiast, Karina Treynor, for an evening of fun!

When you come to a learn to curl event, our friendly club members and instructors will show you all the basics and help you safely try curling for the first time (though you may not want it to be your last!) No experience or special equipment are necessary!
